Dan Ripley, Esq.

Manager and Owner

Dan Ripley has spent almost two decades fighting for people accused or convicted of crimes throughout Florida. A former Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach and Pinellas Counties, Dan has tried and litigated thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to life felonies.

Today, Dan focuses his practice on helping clients overturn wrongful convictions and reduce unjust sentences through post-conviction motions and appeals. He has filed hundreds of motions and petitions across Florida—including Rule 3.850 and 3.800 motions, habeas corpus petitions, and conviction reviews—helping many clients return home to their families.

Dan earned his law degree with honors from Florida State University College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He lives with his wife Jessica and their two children.

“I transformed the hardest years of my life into a mission to lead others towards justice.”

Jonathan Kornexl

Senior Paralegal

Jonathan Kornexl is a paralegal with nearly two decades of experience working within Florida’s criminal justice system. After being incarcerated as a teenager, Jonathan dedicated his time in prison to studying the law, becoming a Certified Law Clerk, and helping countless inmates gain their freedom through post-conviction litigation.

With significant firsthand knowledge of the Florida Department of Corrections, and familiarity with both state and federal legal processes, Jonathan brings a unique perspective and unmatched determination to every case. His work is driven by a passion for justice and a belief that redemption and second chances are possible for everyone.

Jonathan is currently pursuing his Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies at St. Petersburg College and aspires to become an attorney in the State of Florida. He continues to mentor and inspire individuals still behind bars, reminding them that incarceration can be a new beginning—not the end.
