Despite rigid time constraints for filing, the rules do not impose any specific limit on how long the court may take to rule on our motions.  Many post-conviction cases take years to proceed through the entire process.  Our comprehensive case review often takes several months, sometimes longer if the case involves a lengthy trial or unique issues.  We proceed through every step with care and attention.  Ensuring the process is carefully navigated from the very beginning allows us to preserve every avenue throughout the entire process and gives our clients their best chance at relief.  When it is your last chance for justice, every step matters.
